William (Bill) Shea has spent his career marketing, developing and presenting leadership and executive education programs. In his own practice, he uses his deep knowledge of research and best practices to provide advice to companies on developing people; and he enjoys his new role with Boston Global supporting managers at all levels of their careers by providing guidance to leaders who are committed to continuous learning and professional development for their teams. He has worked extensively with Harvard Business School as Director of Corporate Relations for Europe, and has held international roles in strategic relationship management for Harvard Business Publishing. Prior to joining Harvard, Bill worked at Coopers & Lybrand LLP as a senior consultant, and he has also spent over seven years with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), where he established and served as Managing Director of CCL’s first European branch office in Brussels, Belgium.
Earlier in his career, Bill had appointments in university admissions and financial aid both at the Harvard Business School and at the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. Following this he spent eight years in real estate investment banking on Wall Street and with private investors. Bill holds a BA degree from Hunter College (City University of New York); an MA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He is a long-standing member of the Association for Talent Development (formerly ASTD) and has served on ATD’s national board of directors. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Hunter College Alumni Association and was inducted into the Hunter College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1998. He has also served on the board of directors of “Play for Peace,” an international not-for-profit organization which brings together children from communities in conflict to promote understanding through experiential exercises and play.
